Ms. Mwajuma Kadilu

President of Mafubo Tanzania

Ms. Mwajuma Kadilu is a member of the faculty of law at Mzumbe University in Tanzania. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in juvenile justice at Acharya Nagarjuna University, India. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with distinction and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Mwajuma Kadilu is a lawyer in the subordinate courts of the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Tanzania, with the exception of the high courts. Currently, she is a part-time trainer at the Tanzania Law School. She is a lecturer Law at the Institute of Judicial Administration (IJA), Lushoto - Tanzania.

  • Between January and June 2015, Mwajuma was head of the economic law department of the law school at Mzumbe University.
  • From February 2015 to December 2016, Ms. Mwajuma Kadilu was a research assistant in the study of knowledge, attitudes and practices regarding violence against children in mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. The study was commissioned by UNICEF and undertaken by Mzumbe University (Tanzania) in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield (United Kingdom).

Mwajuma has taught for over ten years several law courses, including criminal law, criminal procedure and practice, evidence law, children's law, public international law, environmental law, refugee law, international humanitarian law and human rights law. She participated in several trainings, seminars, conferences and workshops. These include the Advanced Course on Refugee and Migration Law, the Seminar on Writing Gender Case Studies and the Training of Trainers on Legal Issues Related to the Implementation of International Labor Law environment and climate in Tanzania, focusing on the national REDD + strategy. She is a member of the research and publication committee of the Faculty of Law of Mzumbe University and secretary of the self-evaluation team of the program quality assurance program of Mzumbe University (LL.B ). Mwajuma has published research, namely:

Mwajuma is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society, founder of the Legal Aid Clinic at the Faculty of Law at Mzumbe University and founder of the Center for the Dissemination of International Humanitarian Law.
